Our Story
DoggOffit was invented out of necessity, Carl Baker and his wife Kathleen share a passion for rescuing coonhounds. Carl came home from work one day and found that his wife had placed kitchen chairs to keep their 3 dogs off the new sofa. With nowhere for humans to sit, he knew there had to be a better way! Carl’s ingenuity kicked in, leading to the creation of our first prototype. Realizing the effectiveness and potential of his invention, he secured a patent.
Fate intervened along the way when Carl had a chance meeting with Kevin O’Kane, an old friend spanning over 40 years. As they caught up, their mutual love for dogs became evident, alongside the discovery of their complementary professional backgrounds: Carl in engineering, Kevin in business. From this reunion, DoggOffIt was born.
